UK Rhythm & Noize Powerhouse Dirty K is back serving up a 14 track album, which may I add is also his debut for the US based label Crunch Pod and what a debut it is. This whole release is absolutely skull crushing. The sheer power of this album is immense and delivers a clear message that Dirty K is not slowing down or following current trends of many of his peers.

Tracks like Avalanche and Wreckage are for sure club ready dancefloor destroyers. 

This release also shows a more matured variation of sounds whilst keeping the true core sounds of the artist. Remixes by Kult303, Stahlschlag and Volkermord can also be heard on this release.

The Mexican Power Noise wizard FABRIKMUTTER is back with a 5 track E.P. and all I can say is wow, this is a total masterpiece. 5 tracks of all out relentless power and a full on distorted beat assault on the ears that will keep any avid fan of the genre hooked. 

It is really refreshing to hear that the harsher stuff is still out there. This is what power noise should sound like for sure. The link is below to listen.

Review: Yura Yura - Substance Noire (Hands Productions)

French project Yura Yura returns after 5 years with Substance Noire and I can safely say it was well worth the wait. 80 mins of straight up industrial rhythmic noise, whilst keeping his core sounds adding other elements to the mix. This is definitely a more refined sound  the epic and darker ambient and atmospherics are a really great addition to his energetic and ruthless rhythmic sections. This album is aimed more towards a club environment.

Theodore The Blacksmith is the current project of Theo Harper, the founding member of the rhythmic noise project W.A.S.T.E. 

This 7 Track E.P. is an epic blend of  dark cinematic soundscapes like something that would be heard in a horror movie, then encapsulated in intricate IDM, dub and drum and bass rhythmic sections, creating a solid  hybrid sound, tribal and industrial elements are also noted. This release also features remixes from artists RECON and Sleep Clinic.

Refreshing to hear a release so unique.

Syntech return after a 5 year recording silence with this absolute masterpiece titled "Shadows Above Me". This album marks the 5th album to date of 14 tracks, a bold blend of cinematics and abrasive IDM rhythms. There’s unnerving vibes throughout the whole release and it has some unpredictable moments. Whilst keeping the tribal elements and the drone sounds of the core Syntech sound they take the sound into territory previously un noted.

Review: Kult303 - Metamorphosis (Crunch Pod)

Metamorphosis is the second release from the UK based artist Kult303 This is a complete monster of a 5 track E.P but it does not stop there. Kirstie Kult has really brought her sound to the forefront with a rare genre defiant sound. This release shows the epic talent of this artist, with tracks like Azwan and the title track Metamorphosis blending tribal rhythms with broken and distorted beats and some really clean synth work and lush foley and pad work. This E.P. also sports a number of remixes from the heavy hitters of the scene such as Greyhound, C/A/T, Dirty K, Xotox, Manufactura and Maduro. A must have for anyone into the hybrid sound pallet.

Review: NMX - Discipline - Single & Remixes (Crunch Pod)

NMX is the project of US based Jacob Gonzales this little package of 1 single armed with a bunch of remixes of previously released works really packs a punch. with dark ambience and Industrial and Rhythmic noise at the forefront of this release. The dark textures and amazing programming make this guy one to watch out for. The remixes are from the likes of W.A.S.T.E. Cogex, Dirty K, Pyroclastic, Hexwolves, CMVIB3, Daemon Eyes and the legendary Manfactura.

I would love to hear a full length album from NMX hopefully this happens in the future.
